Submission to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights

The AIMN recently made a submission to the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights in response to a call for submissions for the development of a thematic report to the UN General Assembly on digital technology, social protection and human rights.

This submission focuses on issues with the way that digital technology has facilitated the implementation of compulsory income management programs in Australia, which infringe upon a variety of human, economic, social, cultural, civil and political rights.

You can access the submission on our Resources page, or by visiting the Submissions page on the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights’ site.
